BIG WHITE LIES
It is hard to imagine the grim and dark deeds that happened in these beautiful places.
I have listened to the Elders and Community Leaders.
As a whitefella I acknowledge the stories told on Gumbaynggirr Country and nearby Yaegl, Bundjalung and Dunghutti.
As an artist I will present a vision of our shared history.
I would like to acknowledge the Gumbaynggirr Nation, on whose Country I live and work. I pay respect to all the First Peoples of this continent, their culture, Elders, ancestors and emerging leaders. I thank them for their care of Country, for their humanity and generosity in sharing Culture.
